Asbestos Identification & Awareness Gippsland

Asbestos identification involves laboratory testing of samples and usually involves a five-day turn-around for results. Small samples are required for testing. Obtaining of samples must be carried out safely and with the property owner’s permission. The affected sample area will be sealed afterwards by us to prevent fibre release.

The peak for Asbestos related death and illness in relation to home renovations is expected in 2023. Drilling, cutting and removal of ‘Asbestos Containing Materials’ (ACM’s) all have associated risks, methods and obligations. The information we supply is from the Health Department and is sent through with our Reports.

The results will be emailed to you along with the Health Department’s Asbestos Awareness Booklet.
